Experience Black London

Nana Ocran produced the content and images for this visitor's guide to London, which was launched at the British Visitors Centre in London, as part of the Destination Brixton festival (2003). The book was published as a user-friendly companion guide offering a snapshot of black British culture by providing written sections on African and Caribbean London history, as well as listings of arts and entertainment, eating out, seasonal events and shops and services.

Experience Africa and African London

Part of the Africa 05* campaign, this pull-out supplement was distributed in Time Out magazine. The content was written and project managed by Nana Ocran in collaboration with General Assembly, a cultural brand and marketing agency, and includes listings of African arts and crafts venues, as well as a summarised programme of cultural events that took place from February to October 2005 at various venues in London.

* Africa 05 was a collaboration between major arts organisations and smaller, commercial, not-for-profit and community based groups in celebration of contemporary African art.
